O tema do momento é a “educação e o porquê estudar no século XXI”. Em todos os congressos de educadores esse tema é abordado. Mas, ninguém chega a uma conclusão sobre como levar os jovens a se interessarem pelas matérias escolares. Muitas são as dúvidas sobre como mudar, inovar e o que fazer. Só temos uma certeza: como está não dá para continuar. Porém, pesquisas mostram que ainda há um caminho, uma luz ao fim do túnel. É que apesar da falta de interesse de crianças e jovens pelo estudo em si, a escola continua sendo o melhor lugar para a maioria deles. Atualmente, se aprende através de vários meios de comunicação, principalmente pela internet. E grande parte dos estudantes dessa geração se informa nesse meio de interação mais do que a maioria dos professores. Todavia, segundo os próprios alunos, em muitas entrevistas, a escola continua sendo o melhor lugar para encontrar pessoas e ter um contato direto com as mesmas. Aí esta a importância do educador do século XXI, também estar inserido neste universo de possibilidades de aprendizagens. Hoje não se ensina, mas se aprende. O mais importante é ter habilidade de direcionar os conhecimentos. Com o avanço da tecnologia e das pesquisas científicas, o que era novidade ontem, amanhã será retrogrado.
