Essas atividades tão visíveis e responsáveis
por tantos empregos.
O professor se contenta com algo mais simples:
ele prefere construir o engenheiro que levanta
paredes, instruir o comandante que faz o avião voar,
formar o médico que cura e ensinar os jornalistas
a fazerem perguntas embaraçosas.
O professor não constrói coisas...
Ele “constrói” as pessoas que fazem as coisas, ou pelo
menos ajuda as pessoas a construírem a si próprias”.

Hoje recebi várias mensagens de amigos que reconhecem o trabalho do professor, muitas vezes esquecido e não tão valorizado pela nossa sociedade.
Dentre elas uma me foi especial, porque lembra que o dia de trabalho do professor não termina com o sinal que marca o fim da aula, seu trabalho não termina com o ano letivo, nem com a formatura de uma classe. Ele dura para sempre, pois o professor não deixa de ser mestre no momento que bem quer, ele é imortal quando abraça verdadeiramente sua profissão que é primeiramente modelo para seus alunos. As crianças se espelham ainda hoje na imagem do professor, posso testemunhar isso diariamente na maioria de meus alunos.
É uma carreira criada pelo afeto, respeito e cumplicidade, pois é parte importante na formação da personalidade de seres humanos. E lidar com o ser humano não pode ser comparado com qualquer outra profissão, uma palavra mal dita, um olhar, um não, um sim, um sorriso na hora certa, são gestos que marcam por toda uma vida.
Tenho marcas deixadas pelos meus professores, positivas e negativas. As positivas faço questão de lembrar e com as negativas aprendi a ser melhor a cada dia. Mas nem todas as pessoas conseguem fazer esse trabalho interior e as cicatrizes nunca se apagam.
Então, ser professor é estar permanentemente ligado a essas questões e ele tem que estar bem consigo mesmo o tempo todo para ser mestre de todas as situações, e sabemos que isso requer disciplina, domínio de atitudes, avaliação constante, autocontrole e com isso há um desgaste emocional forte nesse profissional que tem de estar permanentemente "antenado".
No pensamento que abro meu texto, de José Rio Martins, ele nos lembra muito bem que o professor deixa sua marca na formação de todos os profissionais. Tudo começa com ele. Desde o professor da educação infantil até o professor universitário, existe uma trajetória de relacionamento de construção do conhecimento e afetivo. Ninguém consegue ensinar, transmitir conhecimento, direcionar aprendizagem se não houver o mais importante, que é o respeito pelo ser humano, o reconhecimento e incentivo diário do crescimento individual do mesmo. Nós precisamos nos sentir realmente importantes no mundo, em tudo que fazemos, e é isso que nos impulsiona para obtermos sucesso profissional, social e existencial.
A profissão do professor deve ser encarada como o mais sublime exercício de doação e nunca reconhecida como tal pelos dirigentes desse país, principalmente quando se trata dos honorários desse profissional que dedica sua vida às causas nobres, sendo exemplo constante na sociedade.

It lasts forever, because the teacher does not cease to be a master at the time that well either, he is immortal when truly embraces his profession that is first model for their students. The children are still in the mirror image of the teacher, I can see it every day in most of my students.
It is a career created by the affection, respect and understanding, because it is an important part in shaping the character of human beings. And dealing with human beings can not be compared with any other profession, said a bad word, a look, a no, a yes, a smile on time, are gestures that mark for a lifetime.
I have marks left by my teachers, both positive and negative. The positive I would remember and the negative learned to be better every day. But not all people can make this work inside and never erase the scars.
So, be a teacher is to be permanently connected to these issues and he has to be good about it all the time to be master of every situation, and we know that this requires discipline, an area of attitude, constant evaluation, self and with that there is a strong emotional wear this professional who has to be always "cool".
